Three years later

When you do a blog, it is your baby for a time and then it kind of falls off to the wayward.  I thought I would put in an entry since I noticed my blog has 1900 hits since its inception in 2010.

A few things to update.

Sweet Venus passed away in August of 2010- the 12th to be exact.  Her tumor became too large and we were given no choice but to send her to kitty heaven.  It has been three years and we still have not gotten a new kitty, though we have continued with the foster program.

Since then we have had in our foster care:
Snowball
Twiggy
Baby & Artemis
Salvodore & Julius
Aslan
Spencer & Chico
Cheeto
and currently Zora

All of these kitties have had their stories and I would like to share them all.  I'll start with just some beautiful pictures of Zora, an adoptable cat in Seattle,WA.

  1. Thank you for your blog about sweet Venus. Right now my rescue cat "Lucky" is on week 2 of Palladia for a salivary gland carcinoma. He had surgery to remove the tumor under his jaw, but even our great surgeon couldn't get it all and now it is coming back frightenly fast. Since Palladia is not approved for cats, or even for adenocarcinomas in dogs, we knew it was a wild shot, but chemo was $7000, didn't guarantee a result, and we are already in $2000. It helps to find out any information and so your blog account was a blessing, even with the unhappy result. Thanks, kenhoge@gmail.com
